Huntington Dog Beach is a shining example of California’s dog friendly culture. Dogs in Orange County love its long stretch of white sand and easy waves. They also like that they can be off-leash! (Well, not technically, but generally only “problem dogs” are cited.)
Every Sunday, Orange County dog lovers come out in droves to pick up errant trash, glass, and yes, dog poop from Huntington Beach. It’s a family friendly event and there are always lots of dogs, but this is one time it’s good to have a collar with ID tags and a leash at-hand.
