Rehoboth Beach has a fairy-tale, seaside appeal that people from all over come to embrace for its resort-style ambiance. In the summer months, the beach boardwalk is packed with visitors checking out galleries and shore-side boutiques for souvenirs.

This sandy beach is super busy from May 1st to September 30th with tourists, dogs are not allowed at this time. They can go for early and afternoon morning walks before 9.30 am and after 5.30 pm at the nearby pet-friendly Dewy Beach, about 2.6 miles south from the Rehoboth boardwalk. Any other time of the year, your dog is welcome on Rehoboth Beach on leash to have fun on the beach.

Sun-worshippers flock to the golden sand and smooth, clear waters of Rehoboth Beach, where family memories are created in a euphoric atmosphere of warm, summer days. The Atlantic laps tentatively on the shore, inviting swimmers to cool off in the calm waters. Restrooms are situated on the boardwalk with benches that allow you to view the boardwalk or ocean. Lounge in the sand, splash in the water or take a walk down the boardwalk with your pup. 

The main entrance to Rehoboth Beach is at the end of Rehoboth Ave, where you can get into the boardwalk. Stretching the length of the beach for a mile, the boardwalk offers lots of walkdowns to the sand, as well as shops, restaurants and hotels. Various parking areas require permits, or there is metered parking for beachgoers. Keep your dog on leash on the beach and boardwalk at all times.

Be sure to bring all your beach essentials, including water to share, and clean-up bags. Help keep the beach dog-friendly by always picking up whatever your pup lays down. Umbrellas with shades no larger than 8 feet may also help beat the heat.
